Just remember with either the mini base making or the teleport pad laying at the volcano, that you'll want to set it away from the resources so that you dont lose them respawning later. So set one at your base to go to the volcano and you dont even have to make a mini base. If you wanted to make this even easier there is 1 simple mod you can add to your single player game (Teleport pad) which will allow you to teleport you and any dino in the pad area to another pad of the same name. Even better, you can just make a mini base at the volcano to process the ore obsidian crystal etc there to then craft items to take back to your main base. Yes flying is required but since you're playing a single player game, that shouldnt be an issue. its completely safe to do so, but man is it cold!įor most, is simply more practical to gather obsidian from the volcano. just had to take a dive in freezing water inside the cave.
